FOS - Technical Advisor - EFB Design and Development in Atlanta, GeorgiaHow you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)Delta Professional Services is seeking a passionate aviation enthusiast with an analytical and technology background. This support individual will work on the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) iPad team supporting both pilots and the Delta EFB Team in the development support of EFB hardware, platform, and program solutions.Summary of responsibilities: Supports projects for the EFB Platform and Hardware team. Builds and maintains effective business partnerships with other Flight Ops business units, Delta Line Maintenance, Delta IT, OCC, MCC, IFS, ALPA, FAA, and related EFB vendors. Uses available tools to create reports and dashboards to trend inventory consumption, operating system, app currency, and other EFB related metrics. Supports document management, revision processes/workflows, and other departmental project management and technology initiatives. Maintains the EFB hardware and software updates in cooperation with Airbus, Navblue, TechOps, Performance Engineering, and Flight Ops Pubs. Tests & troubleshoots iPad EFB hardware & operating system. Collaborates with the EFB Application team and Tech Pilots to test, troubleshoot, and support iPad EFB Applications.What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. Commercial/Airline Transport Pilot, Flight Engineer, Certified Ground/Flight Instructor certificates or military equivalents. Strong data analysis skills are required. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; ability to seek input, understand, and ask the right questions to drive the right solution for the enterprise. Ability to think strategically to align tactical projects and initiatives with Delta's long-term goals. Experience in creating, developing, and maintaining solutions in Office365 applications such as Excel, Power BI, Teams, PowerApps, Access, Project, SharePoint, etc. is highly desirable. Confidence in installing and troubleshooting Windows hardware and software. Must be flexible and highly receptive of evolving work procedures and duties.What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience in developing and maintaining solutions in Smart Sheet. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and associated guidance material. Experience with content management systems (CMS). Basic to intermediate skill with Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, or Project. Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
