My client is seeking a National Business Development Manager to drive growth in their broadline foodservice channel. This pivotal role will manage national accounts, strengthen customer relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. The position is remote and requires up to 50% travel.Client DetailsFor decades my client has sold seafood products nationally and internationally to customers in regional and national grocery retailers. One of their biggest markets is in the Hispanic grocery retail sector where they provide high quality fish to customers of all ages. Through this commitment they create delicious, ready-to-eat products that are sold at an affordable cost.DescriptionAccount Management: - Lead and manage national account agreements, ensuring pricing, rebate compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Field sales calls to headquarters of key group accounts and large foodservice commissaries.Category Ownership:
- Oversee the foodservice category within the business and provide insights on trends and key performance indicators.
- Lead strategic planning, including promotion calendars, new product launches, and post-promotion effectiveness analysis.New Initiatives & Rollouts:
- Manage national pricing contracts and coordinate all new account rollouts.
- Direct marketing activities through collaboration with the Marketing Director for custom projects.Trade Shows & Representation:
- Plan and coordinate company representation at national foodservice trade shows.
- CRM Management:
- Maintain and update Salesforce CRM with opportunities, contacts, and sales progresProfile
- 5+ years in foodservice sales, particularly with national contract-managed accounts (e.g., Compass, Aramark, Sodexo).
- Established relationships with national broadline distributors (e.g., Sysco, US Foods, PFG).
- Proficient in strategic account planning, sales performance analysis, and CRM tools.
- Experienced in managing private label projects and custom initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
