General Definition: The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the medical and clinical oversight of the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program under the Supervision of the Medical Director. In performing this role, the Nurse Practitioner and the designated clinical team are expected to work closely together to support the overall clinical vision of the agency. It is expected the Nurse Practitioner will be engaged with the clinical team and active in the development of the clinical oversight of programs, the quality of care initiatives, and the direct supervision of complex cases. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for a review of the clinical services for appropriate referral patterns within and outside of the agency; for the implementation of evidenced based and best practice models of care; and for overall supervision of all clinical services. Specific Duties Include: Provide oversight regarding medical and clinical services within Changing Phases Behavioral Support MAT Services. Ensure that medical services are delivered in a clinically appropriate manner and the care provided is in compliance with the guidelines with the Georgia Medical Board/Board of Pharmacy/DEA and all governing bodies associated with Changing Phases Behvioral Support. Evaluate the effectiveness of the program through reviews and evaluation of personnel outcomes. Maintain a strong leadership role in the development of program Quality Management Quality Management activities Coordinate clinical team meetings with the Clinical Director & Medical Director, and others as appropriate, such as counselors, LPN, RN, and Team Leaders for sharing information and input about clinical issues affecting the program Provide on-site leadership in the agency through a physical presence in the agency, and frequent access to other sites, if applicable, i.e. telemed services, video conferencing, and audio connections. Additional 1. Nurse Practitioner must be able to carry out the supervisory and administrative responsibilities of this position and understands that it requires direct billable services to be rendered. 2. Nurse Practitionert must be available to provide medical/nursing services as necessary to CPBS patients for the Substance Abuse program. (i.e New Admission intakes, daily dosing, follow up appointments for Suboxone, monthly patient education, etc) 3. Nurse Practitioner must ensure that patients of the agency have access to medication management and direct physician services. 4. Nurse Practitioner must be available to work Monday-Wednesday and Fridays from 5:00 am-1:00 pm.
