  • Position Title: Staff Nurse- Cardiac/Thoracic
  • General job duties: Types of procedures required include open heart, pacemaker, laser lead extraction, VATS, thoracotomy.
  • Equipment utilized: Computerized charting (surginet), TMR laser.
  • Required skills: Cardiac/Thoracic 3 years experience.
  • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:1.
  • Dress Code: OR scrubs provided.
  • Unit orientation with nurse educator and cardiac/thoracic charge nurse.
    Job Requirements
    • GA or compact license required
    • 3 years experience as a Cardiac/Thoracic RN
    • BLS through AHA required
    • Recent level 1 or level 2 trauma experience required
    • Proficient with: open heart, pacemaker, laser lead extraction, VATS, thoracotomy.
      Schedule Information
      • Day shift 0630 - 1500
      • Call (weekday & weekend) rotated among 3 cardiac/thoracic nurses.
