TK Elevator Corporation - Byhalia, Mississippi, United StatesThe first 3 letters in workplace safety are Y-O-U!TK Elevator is seeking an Industrialization Director in Atlanta, GA.Responsible for industrialization of New Product Introduction in alignment with product strategy and site goals, as well as for production labor productivity.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Propose, plan and execute transformations and projects to constantly improve manufacturing & supply chain productivity and competitiveness, as well as ensure State of the Art manufacturing techniques and technologies (Lean Manufacturing, TKE Production System, Factory 4.0).
- Development and implementation of state-of-the-art production technology and processes from the early stages of product development and for the continuous improvement of the existing lines.
- New product Introduction: Ensure management and execution of MCOs as per defined planning; Constantly look for improving planning and performance of MCO process in partnership with PDC; Is accountable for MCO process performance (quality, delivery, cost); Ensure discipline in applying global SPDP standards, as well as actively proposing SPDP improvement at global level; Develop SPDP proficiency & expertise within Byhalia Industrialization group.
- Ensure timely support to production.
- Manufacturing Equipment & Investment Management: Constantly ensures best equipment technology solutions to produce in house. Builds long term annual investment plans. Anticipates budgets up to 5 years.
- Define predictive and preventive maintenance plans that ensure a low level of production downtime.
- Plans and formulates aspects of engineering improvement projects including equipment purchase, layout, and flow.
- Ensures the timely completion of projects and initiatives that move the company in the direction of true North while helping achieve short- and long-term business objectives.
- Manages the manufacturing launch of high volume, complex, new products.
- Manages large capital projects including writing capital requests and installation of new equipment.
- Develops strategic direction and translates into goal setting for department.
- Manages the Development and maintenance of SOP's and Standard Work for assigned operations.
- Lead in the resolution of quality issues including field complaints, warranty issues, and defective parts. Work with Procurement to conduct make/buy analysis for all new parts.
- Recommends budgets to management, including staff use, technology, facility, and equipment requirements or improvements; Establish correlations between projects and initiatives involving more than one department/function and support Change Management in cross functional projects.
- Facilitates contracts with consulting firms to perform research or other applicable studies or support.
- Work with Finance department to determine financial benefits of projects, establish tracking mechanisms and be able to address issues.Who we are looking forEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Related Field required.
- 10+ more years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Five+ years work experience supervising engineers required.
- Master's Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.
- Lean or Six Sigma Certification a plus; PMP Certification or equivalent a plus.
- Self-directed, self-motivated and able work in a fast-paced environment.
