Key Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
Secure third-party payer authorization for services
Assist in patient-facing responsibilities within a medical business office


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Minimum of two years' experience in a medical business office or healthcare setting
Preferred completion of post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology, CPT Coding, and Anatomy & Physiology
Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or Health Care Business Service program is preferred
