TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Marietta, Georgia, 30060 Pay Information $2,124 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse - Critical Care Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: Preferred experience with direct patient care License: RN License - Single State or Multi-state Compact Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak English, basic computer skills, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, ability to function in a fast-paced environment Description: The RN Clinical Nurse in Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. Nurse Managers and other leaders administer the clinical environment. The Wellstar Shared Governance Model supports the practice framework. The practice is steered by the Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the Wellstar Values. All RN Clinical Nurses in Critical Care are licensed and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a patient services team member, one is expected to uphold the patient's voice, system policies, and procedures while supporting service excellence goals. They perform the Nursing Process using evidence-based practice, and analytical critical thinking, and ensure care is individualized. They coordinate care through effective partnerships, recognizing that caring is central to achieving optimal patient care outcomes. They provide relationship-based patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics in a manner that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity. Partnership with the patient and significant others is prioritized using appropriate methods for setting and purpose. They practice using current clinical practice standards. The team coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care within a respectful and inclusive clinical environment. They demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner. They support performance improvement, research utilization, and promote an inter/intra-disciplinary process. Initial and ongoing professional competency assessment, mandatory education, and population-specific education are completed. They serve as preceptors or mentors for other professional nurses, ensuring a current and future qualified workforce. They promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing. Participates in activities such as value analysis as part of the decision-making process in evaluating patient care products. Health care system/organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies are upheld. Participation in data collection and posing relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice is standard. They consult appropriate experts and use appropriate resources and evidence to address practice questions. They proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum in giving direct patient care. In collaboration with care managers and other healthcare team members, they participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes. They support efficient and effective use of human and material resources. Comply with all policies, standards of work, and codes of conduct.
