A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Auditor to review hospital charges and ensure appropriate code assignments.



Key Responsibilities

Review hospital charges against medical records to determine appropriate code assignments (CPT/HCPCS codes)
Understand billing and coding requirements for government and commercial payers
Abstract statistical data from patient records and enter information following facility guidelines


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

CPC, CCS, CPC-H (COC), CPMA, CIC, RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS-P certification
Experience in billing, charge documentation, charge audit, or related revenue cycle activities
Experience coding multi-specialties preferred, including trauma, orthopedics, and cardiology
Knowledge of CMS guidelines, reimbursement structures, and prebill edits preferred
