One Data Streaming Platform.Data Connects Us.About the Role:The Payroll Analyst will report to the AMER Payroll Manager and be a key member of Confluent's global payroll team. This role will be responsible for supporting the AMER Payroll team with processing semi-monthly payroll tasks including the processing of off-cycle payroll requests and ensuring compliance with employment and wage and hour laws.The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a problem solver, and is comfortable with challenging the status quo in order to improve and scale the function. This individual will have experience partnering with multiple stakeholders and business partners to drive cross-functional initiatives while ensuring strong governance and compliance.What You Will Do: - Responsible for supporting timely and accurate payroll processing for the US and Canada in compliance with local tax, labor regulations, and SOX.
- Review semi-monthly timesheet and absence records for completeness and accuracy; assist non-exempt employees and manager with time-entry inquiries.
- Calculate and process off-cycle payments.
- Provide customer service to employees on payroll-related inquiries.
- Assist AMER Payroll team with special projects, including process documentation and improvements, system updates, integrations, upgrades, or implementations.What You Will Bring:
- 4+ years of experience in payroll operations, operating at a multi-national company.
- Workday Payroll experience is a must.
- Knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including payroll tax, reporting, and required filings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
