Monday, November 4, 2024The Member Relationship Consultant excels in delivering outstanding member experiences by building trust, offering consultative advice, and making relevant recommendations. They focus on nurturing member relationships and supporting financial wellness. Their expertise includes professional communication, managing lending applications, and relationship building. An active NMLS certification is required before or shortly after starting this role. Occasionally, this role may involve teller functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Builds, develops, and expands Member relationships through needs-based assessments to identify and recommend deposit, credit, and lending solutions to help Members achieve their financial goals.
- Processes new memberships, additional share accounts, savings services, loan requests, and loan fundings as requested by the Member.
- Analyze credit and financial information for processing of loans including secured loans/lines and other credit union products for members to ensure applicable lending policies and procedures are followed.
- Cross-Selling: leveraging opportunities to cross-sell other credit union products and services that complement deposit gathering.
- Promotion of Credit Union Values: represent the credit union's values and mission in daily interactions, contributing to a positive organizational culture.
- Product Knowledge: in-depth understanding of various deposit products like savings accounts, checking accounts, share certificates, and IRAs.
- Participate and help lead product knowledge and sales meetings.
- Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties.
- Remains current on the HawaiiUSA practices, policies, and procedures and completes all transactions with accuracy and within guidelines.
- Ensures confidentiality of all Member and credit union information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required.EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 2 or more years of previous related experience, preferred.
- Tech Savvy, able to teach members how to use our services.
- Analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills; ability to prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and cohesively with others, fosters team environment.CERTIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Notary Public preferred.
- NMLS preferred.MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
