- Do not take placenta previa or placenta accreta.
Job Details - A hospital in Southern Idaho is in need of an RN with 3+ years of experience with Women's Services (L&D and PP) for a 13 week travel assignment.
- The nurses will be working 12 hour shifts.
- Ideal candidates must have 3+ years experience with L&D, Post-Partum, and OR Circulation / Triage.
Job Requirements - Must have 3 years of L&D experience
- Must have mother baby experience- prefer 1 year
- Okay with a first-time traveler.
- Must have experience and be able to attend deliveries and complete 1 hour of newborn care, triage, Circulate C/S, and provide Postpartum Couplet Care.
- Must have experience with magnesium.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- RNs required to titrate drips: Yes
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Yes - Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, Insulin drips (occasionally)
Schedule Information - Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7.
- Resource and Charge 0645-1845, 1845-0645.
- First schedule travelers will fill in the holes, the next schedule travelers can give preference and they will try to work with them but they will fit them in to the schedule around core staff.
Unit Specific Information - Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios?: Follow AWHONN Staffing Standards.
- 1:1 labor unless pairing 2 cervical ripening patients. Postpartum is 1:3 couplets care.
- Triage 1:3, if get up to 4pts will utilize Resource nurse
- Admin Supervisor on every shift. Charge RNs do not take an assignment.
- Also, have a resource RN and triage RN. Resource nurse and triage nurse may start the shift with no patients, triage does fill up quickly.
