Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/30/2024 Duration: 20 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunities Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Medical Surgical Flr 5 Shift: Days, 7a-7:30p, 12x3, 36hrs per week Length: 20 Weeks Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts in a 6 week periodHoliday Requirement: Yes Requirements: ID License Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience BLS EKG certification Must have EPIC experience Must be able to read and interpret tele of Beds: 42Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:5 occasional 1:6-very rarely happensCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Total joints, ortho-hip fx, spine surgeries-lumbar and cervical; Urology procedures, CBI; General surgeries- choles, bowel resections, complicated mastectomies; GYN overflow-total hysters; Medical overflow-COPD, somebehavioral health, sepsis, infections.Must be willing to take students, may precept new travelersWill float between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit. Could also float to ER for holds or tobe a 1:1.Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color as long as clean and professional.
