JOB SUMMARY: The Painter role is responsible for preparing and painting assembled sheet metal enclosures using an HVLP spray gun. Preparation activities include caulking, sanding, and taping units, as well as moving structures from different areas using heaving machinery. This is a key position and will ensure that the finished product is of high quality and free of any blemishes prior to shipment to our customers. - Paint assembled units using HLVP spray gun.
- File, grind, sand, and smooth assembled or welded surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
- Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primers and finish coatings.
- Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
- Manage time, tasks, and workflows independently with little supervision.
REQUIREMENTS: - High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- 1-2 years' relevant painting experience (required) 3-5 years is preferred.
- Experience painting in a production/metal fabrication facility highly desired
- Experience using HVLP spray guns.
