Description:Accord Carton is searching for a talented and motivated CAD designer to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a key role in the product devilment process, using your CAD skills to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

• Design and build physical product samples based on customer request and specifications provided by sales representatives.
• Organize customer-requested product structures into preferred formats for efficient production.
• Utilize CAD software to design structures, die layouts, product dimensions, and various styles.
• Manage the ordering and acquisition of dies and tooling needed for manufacturing.
• Oversee the creation of steel counters and related components.
• Provide timely quotes to the Plant Estimator for accurate order pricing.
• Collaborate effectively with customers and department managers to ensure project alignment.
• Generate layout data for the laser die maker to produce production die boards.
• Maintain and organize product structure files for easy access and reference.
• Implement a system to ensure all design changes are properly approved and documented.
• Maintain and service CAD equipment and computers to ensure optimal performance. Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a CAD Designer or in a related field.
  • Proven proficiency in CAD software (SoldWorks, AutoCAD or similar)
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for manufacturing and a strong understanding of manufacturing process (a plus).Benefits & Perks
