Project Manager position with a rapidly growing company in beautiful Elmhurst, IL. With room for growth. Project Manager The Project Manager (PM) must be thoroughly familiar with and able to perform all aspects of the design-build process from designing, estimating, and permitting, to installation and construction of softscapes and hardscapes. This position requires a pro-active, organized, approach using leadership/managerial skills to direct the crews while simultaneously interfacing with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, vendors and the Design Build Team to ensure efficient workflow. This position requires the PM to be onsite for morning dispatch and receiving the crews at the end of the day. The goal is to empower the team to operate at their highest level to achieve all division success metrics including: Quality Efficiency Profitability Responsibilities: Conduct internal pre-construction meeting with Design Build Team for assigned projects Perform onsite pre-construction meeting(s) with clients and crew leader for assigned projects Oversee the production of assigned projects ensuring company production and quality standards are being met, as well as ensuring project is being installed per contract specifications Onsite dispatch of the crews in the morning, informing crew leaders of daily performance expectations to keep them on schedule and on budget Maintain and execute a schedule for day to day client contact/communication and visitation Dispatch crew members and/or drivers to pick-up materials and supplies as needed Manage scheduling of all inspections as per permit requirements Manage scheduling of subcontractors (and other field-related activities), verifying accurate completion of subcontractor work per contract, avoiding overcharges Identify opportunities for change orders; create and process the change orders Be onsite to receive crews at the end of day, record time and materials, report overages to Design Build Team and prepare crew for following morning dispatch Assist HR with onboarding/training of D/B hires Evaluate crew member performance and make recommendations to leadership Assist in Snow Operations Qualifications: Associates, BS or MS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent 1 to 5 years of industry experience Current driver's license Enhanced blueprint reading and computer skills Demonstrated work ethic Function effectively as part of a team Capable of setting priorities and working under pressure with effective time management and organizational skills.
