Maintenance Mechanic I Job DescriptionResponsible for keeping equipment in the RDC fully operational. Must have knowledge of RDC systems and building components, with specialist knowledge in one of the following areas: conveyors, rolling stock, or building. Must also have general knowledge and basic repair capability in the other two areas.Must be able to integrate trade skills, classroom knowledge, and systems experience to recognize and diagnose equipment issues, determine repair needs, prioritize and plan work, and execute repairs.Requires working a set schedule, with availability to work morning, afternoon, nights, or weekends depending on assigned shift and overtime. Must work in a distribution/warehouse environment and be able to use tools and complete maintenance tasks that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.Key Responsibilities: - Repair equipment in the RDC
- Diagnose equipment issues and determine repair needs
- Prioritize and plan work
- Obtain or order spare parts
- Execute repairs
- Mentor Maintenance Utility staffRequirements:
- 2 years of experience in the specialty area
- Valid state driver's license
- Combination of experience and/or technical training in electrical/electronic theory
- Proven record of complying with safety requirements
- Able to see objects and discriminate colorPreferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical school graduate
- Experience and/or certification with welding and fabrication
- Certification for electrical work and/or high voltage work
- Experience operating maintenance and operations vehicles and equipment
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsPay Range: $23.65 - $29.80 per hourBenefits:
