Job Title: MRI Technologist Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - MRI Tech Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: Position may allow for cancellation of up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment. Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required; First-timers accepted; Level I Trauma experience preferred License: Must have an active license to apply; Candidates must be in Illinois three business days prior to compliance requirements for fingerprinting. Certifications: ARRT-MR preferred Must-Have: - Proficiency in MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, cardiovascular, chest, head, neck, musculoskeletal, spine, and special imaging procedures - Cerner experience required Job Description: - Perform MRI scans including Abdomen, Abdominal MRA, Abdominal MRV, Female Pelvis, MRCP, and Male Pelvis. - Conduct Cardiovascular MRI scans, including MR Angio Lower Extremity with Bilateral Runoff. - Execute Chest MRI scans. - Handle Head and Neck MRI and CT scans, including Brain, Cranial Nerves, Face/soft tissue neck, Head MRA, Head MRV, Neck MRV, and Orbits. - Carry out Musculoskeletal MRI scans such as Foot, Hand, Hip/Bony Pelvis, Knee, Lower extremity long bones, Shoulder, Sternum, Temporomandibular joint with/without contrast, Upper extremity long bones. - Perform Special Imaging Procedures Skills such as CINE (Cerebrospinal fluid flow study), Diffusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, Maximum intensity projection (MIP), Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP), Perfusion, Peripheral Magnetic Resonance Angiography (Iliac, runoff), Spin Echo Images, Surface Coils, T-1 Weighted Images, T-2 Weighted Images. - Conduct Spine MRI Skills/Experience, including Cervical, Lumbar, Sacrum/coccyx, Spinal trauma, Thoracic, Thoracic Magnetic Resonance Angiography. - Ability to work every 4th weekend or as needed. - On-call required as needed. - Engage in non-billable orientation and training for up to 16 hours. - Discuss and possibly accommodate block schedule requests with management. - Participate in charting with Cerner system. - Adhere to facility requirements for flu vaccine; exemptions allowed for medical/religious reasons only. - Flexible floating within scope to meet facility needs not required.
