<span>Sr. Systems/Operations Engineer<br>&nbsp;<br>Job Description: <br>&nbsp;<br>This is a permanent, full time, direct hire position with an amazing, growing company located in Chicago&#39;s near northern suburbs. &nbsp;The role offers a great base salary with terrific benefits and great bonus potential. &nbsp;The Engineer will be responsible for daily operations of the SaaS applications. The Engineer will have a high level of operations discipline and experience to deliver our services on a 24X7 basis to exceed customer service level agreements in our high availability and high performance application hosting environments.<br>&nbsp;<br>&bull; Administer the day-to-day operational tasks for our software suite <br>&bull; Participate in application performance optimization activities <br>&bull; Perform monitoring &amp; control of global production environment <br>&bull; Application expert and escalation point for Helpdesk Associates and clients <br>&bull; Troubleshoot technical issues relating to configuration and data <br>&bull; Work with business teams to provision new client environments <br>&bull; Build and maintain operational reports and documentation <br>&bull; Administer the global application &amp; systems production operations environment <br>&bull; Ensure the readiness of disaster recovery &amp; continuity capability is maintained <br>&bull; Ensure production application data is backed-up <br>&bull; Support application architecture based on standards &amp; requirements <br>&bull; Comply with, and ensure compliance to, established change control and operational procedures <br>&nbsp;<br>Required Experience: <br>&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a technology related area (master&rsquo;s preferred) with good academic records <br>&bull; MCSA or MCSE certification, ITIL certification preferred <br>&bull; Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server/Linux/Unix, F5 Load Balancers, VM ware and computer networking concepts<br>&bull; At least three years of previous experience in a SaaS or web application hosting environment <br>&bull; Some scripting experience (ideally Powershell)<br>&bull; Highly motivated, works well in a fast paced collaborative team environment with business, technical, and user experience team members <br>&bull; Strong oral and written communication skills <br>&nbsp;<br></span> More...
