Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience 7 to 10 years of information security experience. CISSP certification, required. CISSP certification, required.
Responsibilities:
This position provides overall direction, guidance and definition of an enterprise's information security architecture. Responsibilities include researching; analyzing, designing, proposing and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and information security strategies. Interfaces across several business areas both locally and nationally, acting as a visionary to proactively assist in the defining the direction of future information security initiatives. Responsible for conception of security solutions, building consensus and the selling and execution of such solutions. Provides expert consultative, support to the Information Security Manager and acts as an advisor to the Information Security Officer. May serve as back up to Information Security Manager. May provide input in the performance management process of staff. May provide work direction and assignments as well as training to more junior staff. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. Defines enterprise-wide information security architecture for the Client. Assist Information Security Management in providing for the safekeeping and integrity of the Clients information assets by maintaining systems and controls that prevent unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, and/or deletion of information from computer networks and resources. Advises Client leadership on trends in technical, legal and regulatory areas that may potentially impact information security and computer crime laws. Participates in Client wide and System-level initiatives as a representative of the Seventh District. Acts as a liaison between the FRS National Security competency centers and become an integral, contributing member to the National Security Architecture effort and the National Incident Response Program. Works on multiple projects as project leader or as the subject matter expert. Interfaces directly with business line technical experts to provide guidance on policy and IS proposed solutions. Consults with business units regarding their changing business and technical plans to ensure that information security issues are addressed early in the project life cycle.
