America for over a decade, have GWs of Assets in Operation, GWs of projects under Construction, and GWs of projects in their Development Pipeline - Onshore/Offshore Wind, Solar, Solar+, Hydrogen, Pump Storage, Transmission, Long Duration Storage, etc.Job DescriptionThe Energy Storage - Head of Project Development (WECC) - Chicago will:
  • Lead and manage interdisciplinary teams including land negotiations, real estate, engineering, permitting, legal, and interconnection through construction commencement - through third-party Development shops & Development Service agreements.
  • Lead project strategy throughout the entire development process to achieve project & corporate goals.
  • Develop and manage project development schedules and budgets.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage contract obligations in key project documents.
  • Facilitate project discretionary permitting including permit strategy, tracking permit efforts, working with local AHJs, and presenting at permit hearings as needed.

    • At least 8 years of project development experience in renewable energy - preferably with BESS, but must have utility-scale Solar project development experience as a minimum.
    • Ideally taking projects from early-mid stage development through to COD.
    • Undergraduate degree, preferably in renewable energy, finance, engineering, project/construction management or equivalent.
    • Experienced people leader and manager of cross-functional project team subject matter authorities.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Extensive knowledge of renewable energy project development, utilities, interconnection, permitting, and contracting.
    • Extensive knowledge of renewable energy and energy storage technologies.
