  Job Details
  • This position will be for a nights weekend schedule CT / X-Ray Tech Weekends Schedule position - 7p-7a - Fri, Sat, Sun
  • Technologist will operate as a multi modality tech (CT and XR)
  • Required to perform CT, X-ray, Fluoro, C-arm
  • May be required to rotate weekends and take call
  • Siemens Go Top CT Scanner
  • Konica X-ray Equipment
  • EPIC
  • McKesson PACS
  • Performs computed tomography procedures and related techniques
  • Administers x-radiation to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • May be required to alternate shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call
  • May be asked to flex hours and overtime as necessary to provide quality patient care at assigned sites(s)
  • Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and participating in projects as requested
  • Depending on site assigned, may also be required to perform radiographer job duties
  • Performs diagnostic CT procedures
  • If assigned radiographer job duties, also performs radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable radiographic exams
  • Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist
  • Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety
  • Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures
  • Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary
  • Practices aseptic technique as necessary
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access
  • Initiates basic life support action when necessary
  • Provides patient education
  • Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area
  • Provides practical instruction for students and partners
  • Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers
  • Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients
    Job Requirements
    • Graduate of an accredited radiography program
    • Radiographer experience required
    • CT experience required
