To start as soon as possible, full time, permanentFunctional area: IT / DigitalDepartment InsightsRWE Supply & Trading is the interface between the RWE Group's operating companies and global wholesale markets for energy and energy-related raw materials and is a leading European energy trading house.We as the "Site Reliability Engineering" Team are positioned within RWEST IT with our team members located across Essen (Germany) and Swindon, London (UK) and are looking to expand operations in the USA. As a central team, our work horizon ensures different applications support, analyzing systems (ETRM, RISK, etc.), researching problems, maintenance, coordination, cloud-native, and development of in-house and external application tools in the energy market. The Endur Application Analyst role is focused on providing stability of Endur by monitoring the infrastructure and helping the business resolve day-to-day issues like trade capture, APM services, EoD maintenance, etc. Responsibilities ensure reliability of systems by performing system problem-solving, meeting with users to define business needs. Their goal is to work closely with business and IT stakeholders in quick issue resolutions in the context of Incident Management, Problem Management, CI/CD deployment, etc.Your future plans - Provide operations support by analyzing systems, researching problems, and maintenance/coordination of different applications.
- Continuous improvements of processes through innovative ideas, enhancing automations/monitoring using platforms like Elastic, Grafana, etc.
- Daily operations (infrastructure and health checks) and business support to identify potential root causes for failures and coordinate fixes with Development teams.
- Work with ION - ENDUR and be responsible for monitoring EoD and ensuring completeness by working in Night shift (rotation once every 6 weeks).
- Good working experience in power and cross-commodity trading including PPA and emission certificates.
- Coordinate and work closely with business and IT stakeholders in quick issue resolutions in the context of Incident Management, Problem Management, maintenance patching activities, and configurations/User Management.
- Work in a DevOps model with development teams and business stakeholders to develop enhancements and coordination.
- Coordinate and contribute Bug Fixes, Change Requests, and enhancements in close collaboration with ETRM stakeholders.
- Readiness for shift rotations with 24*7 on-call and occasional travel required.
- BSc or higher degree in IT, Computer Science, etc.
- 2-5 years of work experience in Endur (including and not limited to configuration, enhancements, workflows, etc.).
- Basic knowledge in ETRM domain and experience in ENDUR across different modules like Trading Manager, Market Manager, etc.
- Experience working with functionalities of APM, simulations, EOD batch/risk reports plus trade life cycle.
- Experience in at least one scripting (PowerShell, JVS, Opencomponents) and database (ORACLE, RDS) language.
- Ability to work well under pressure and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability with good analytical problem-solving skills and soft skills to communicate and collaborate with various teams.
- Ability to deliver end-to-end, such as gathering requirements, conducting analysis, implementing use cases, testing, and deploying to production in an agile environment.
- Zeal to learn new functionalities and contribute to the latest developments in Endur.Advantageous, but not a must
- Functional and business knowledge in Endur across Front, Risk, and Back office functions.
- Knowledge in report builder and Microsoft SQL and able to create and understand queries.
- Knowledge/working experience of automation using Python and visualization of features using Elastic/Grafana.
