Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues on the IBM iSeries platform, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and enhancements for the IBM iSeries platform, recommending improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability. Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery strategies on the IBM iSeries platform. Document system configurations, technical specifications, and procedures for the IBM iSeries environment.What you bring: - Advanced knowledge in an IBM iSeries (AS400) environment.
- Basic knowledge in Windows applications & Windows Systems knowledge.
- Exposure on working on Incident tickets, Problem tickets, Change tickets and Request Tickets
- Application Change assessment and validation during change windows over the week and weekend.
- Monitors operations to ensure adherence to service level standards and company/department policies and procedures.
- Ensures professional and courteous support services are delivered to promote a productive and positive relationship with end users.
- Must be detail-oriented and customer-driven, focusing on providing the highest quality services to internal customers.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS400) servers (required)
- IBM MQ, Advanced Job Scheduler
- VIOS
- SAN storage
- Basic Windows Server functionalities.

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Competencies
