Lead software Engineer (Hybrid) Cognizant's Digital Engineering Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Software Engineer with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Location: Riverwood, IL Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until February 17th, 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $141,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. **Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States** Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of technical solutions using FreeMarker, Rest API, CI/CD setup, GraphQL, Redux, and React.
• Oversee the design and architecture of complex applications to ensure scalability and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure the successful delivery of projects by managing timelines, resources, and risks effectively.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end functionalities.
• Utilize GraphQL to optimize data fetching and improve application performance.
• Integrate Redux for state management in React applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operation of applications.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback. Qualifications:
  • Expertise in FreeMarker, Rest API, CI/CD setup, GraphQL, Redux, and React.
  • Proven experience in designing and architecting scalable and high-performance applications.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Experience with code reviews and maintaining code quality.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams and individuals.
