Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).What you'll doAs an Engineering Manager on the CLM Performance and Reliability team, you will enhance and improve services across CLM products to achieve operational goals. You will lead a team of full stack engineers with significant focus on back-end and own aspects of delivery for complex improvements to the core services of the CLM product. You will own and enhance Docusign CLM product back-end infrastructure. You will coordinate with other engineering managers and teams to get employees engaged in development of the product stack. You will also work with various key collaborators of software development for assembling a product roadmap to support the company's vision. The Engineering Manager will act as a people manager, hiring manager, technical leader, and delivery manager for the teams you will be in closest cooperation with. You will also coordinate and work with other departments within or outside their organization to ensure project completion and the use of best practices.This position is a people manager role reporting to the Sr. Director, Engineering.Responsibilities - Take ownership of completing our product roadmap using agile practices
- Build and maintain a set of highly scalable, performant and high availability services
- Work with partner teams to build solutions that meet the needs of many teams
- Work with the Product Management team to gather requirements and architect the next set of services
- Improve performance and reliability of existing services
- Be data driven and push for making decisions based on telemetry
- Help mentor and grow the teamWhat you bringBasic
- 5+ years of combined software development and management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience leading software organizations over 6 people or equivalent experience
- Experience leading front-end engineering teams
- Experience with back end-technologies, including transactional and No-SQL databases, queue systems, cross service communication and observabilityPreferred
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
- Experience in language, framework and toolset agnostic, having worked in at least 3 languages or paradigms
- Experience leading full stack teams with significant back-end focus
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Experience with large complex data ecosystems and data quality and lifecycle issues
- A demonstrated track record of being a change agent, leaving every team and process better than you found it
- Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available (99.99+) systems
- Experience with Microsoft technology stack (e.g., .NET, C#, SQL Server)
- Have a track record of finding and developing great talent
- Have a passion for continuous improvement
- Prior experience with full stack SaaS developmentWage TransparencyPay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
- California: $151,800.00 - $245,150.00 base salary
- Illinois and Colorado: $145,800.00 - $205,950.00 base salary
- Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salaryThis role is also eligible for the following:
