Facilities Manager - retail Job ID 210170 Posted 18-Mar-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Facilities Management Location(s) Chicago - Illinois - United States of America About the Role: As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of small to medium sized buildings. You will not have any direct reports. This position will require approximately 50% travel throughout the year to conduct building assessments on a quarterly/semi-annual and annual cadence. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets and may partner with Property Managers or landlords. What You'll Do: - Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance performed by vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence stakeholders to achieve consensus.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be apparent in existing systems and processes.
