We reward commitment, talent and the drive for excellence.PositionThe Quality Engineer works to assure the quality of Company products and the components that go into them. Specific responsibilities include: Use 1Factory QMS to create quality control plans and processes for complete range of Company products, including inspection and test plans. Use 1Factory QMS to create and document quality plans for components including (i) methods, equipment, instruments, gauges, etc. to be used, and (ii) inspection frequency and batch sizes. Create inspection forms, work instructions and other documents reflecting these plans. Create programs, jigs and fixtures for inspections and testing, including for coordinate measuring machines, vision systems and other automated inspection equipment. Utilize pressure decay and other leak testing machines and equipment. Support QC inspectors, machine operators and others performing first-piece, in-process and receiving inspections. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections on critical components. Use 1Factory QMS to manage nonconformances, including identification, quarantine, evaluation, root cause analysis, and disposition. Work with Company managers, engineers and external vendors to (i) diagnose quality issues, (ii) address root causes, and (ii) troubleshoot and improve product design and manufacturing processes.QualificationsWe require a hands-on professional with superior attention to detail and the ability to think through problems and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Degree from a 2- or 4-year college in a manufacturing, engineering or quality curriculum. 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to use a wide variety of measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges. Familiarity with comparators, coordinate measuring machines, vision and scanning systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering prints and drawings. Experience in preparing and completing inspection forms and related documentation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and database systems and software.CompensationWe offer an excellent salary and benefits package, including: Competitive salary based on educational background, skills and experience level.
