<span>Modis is currently seeking a <B>CCNP Certified Network Engineer</B> for an exciting long-term contract / contract to hire job opportunity with our commercial banking customer, located in the Western Chicago suburbs (Naperville / Lisle).<br>&nbsp;<br>This role will be working as a senior-level Engineer with responsibilities for the continued design, implementation and support of our clients nationwide, enterprise MPLS-based IPv6 Multicast network. &nbsp;With cutting-edge products from Cisco and Juniper, our client&rsquo;s technical environment offers a great opportunity to expand on your existing knowledge and grow professionally! <br>&nbsp;<br><B>The CCNP Certified Network Engineer will be responsible for the following: </B><br>- Designing, implementing, configuring and providing escalated engineering support for our client&rsquo;s network infrastructure which includes Cisco 2800-7600 series routers, Cisco 7000/5000 Nexus Switches and advanced WAN protocols &ndash; OSPF, BGP, EIGRP and HSRP.<br>- Configuring and supporting the IPv6 Network with an emphasis on Multicast and VPNs<br>- Designing, configuring and provisioning the WAN networking technologies (MPLS, IPFR, PPP, VPN, etc)<br>- Designing Implementing, configuring and supporting Cisco ASA, CheckPoint and/or Juniper Netscreen firewalls<br>- Implementing, configuring and supporting network Monitoring, Network Performance Management and Optimization tools (Load balancers, WAN Optimizers, Monitoring tools, etc)<br>- Implementing standards and best practices for physical and logical network security<br>- Designing and engineering brand-new network solutions and &nbsp;making recommendations to expand service and network functionality.<br>- Providing Tier 3-support during severe network issues and outages<br>- <br><B>REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS</B><br>- Candidates MUST be willing to work off-hours to support 24x7x365 operations &ndash; typically several night / weekend shifts in any given month)<br>- <B>REQUIRED ACTIVE CCNP Certification</B> or higher <br>- Demonstrated hands-on experience installing Cisco Routers and Cisco Switches (Catalyst / Nexus)<br>- Strong experience with IP Multicast / MPLS VPN Networks &nbsp;<br>- Minimum 2 years experience with enterprise Firewalls (Cisco ASA or Juniper Netscreen required)<br>- Demonstrated network support experience using Nagios, Solarwinds and /or HPOV for monitoring<br>- Strong experience with network performance and traffic management<br>- Excellent customer service skills<br>&nbsp;<br>If interested in this or other Senior Network Engineer jobs available through Modis in the Chicago area, please apply today with your most recently up to date MS Word resume &ndash; or visit our website at www.modis.com to view and apply for and of the hundreds of IT jobs we currently have across the US! &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br></span> More...
