Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Compact State License required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH required Must-Have: - Telemetry and cardiac drips experience - COVID-19 Vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) - Flu Vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) - First-time travelers accepted Job Description: - Work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday - Possibility to be floated to MedSurg units and potentially handle six patients - Cardiac-focused care, including NSTEMI, Angina, Pre/Post Pacemaker, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, CHF, HTN - Manage respiratory issues such as COVID-19, COPD, PE, Trach, Pneumonia, Chest tubes, Asthma, Emphysema - Address neurological conditions including status epilepticus and CVA/TIA - Handle cases of active alcohol withdrawal with treatment - Manage GI/GU conditions like GIB, Pancreatitis, and bowel obstruction - Experience with endocrinology conditions like DKA, IDDM, NIDDM - Care for geriatric patients and those with sickle cell anemia - Perform cardioversions, 12-Lead EKG, and monitor cardiac drips - Administer drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, Dopamine, and Dobutamine - Conduct tests including phlebotomy and ABG via I Stat Please note that flu and COVID-19 vaccine requirements are in effect.
