This role is a full-time summer internship (40 hours a week) during the summer months. We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2025. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy. As a Human Resources intern you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to activities and task listed below: - HR Operations: Provide support in day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including maintaining employee records, ensuring adherence to attendance policy, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Interact with plant leadership to support business needs.
- Talent Acquisition: Assist with the recruitment process, including resume screening and coordinating interviews. Analyze trends on hiring, attrition, demographics.
- Employee Engagement: Conduct deep analysis and review of employee engagement insights and create an action plan for improvement; facilitate hourly/salaried engagement and recognition activities.
- Data Analysis: Create standard reports from Workday reports on various HR metrics to identify trends and insights that can help with the HR strategy.
- Learning and Development: Benchmark and assist in the development of training materials and resources for front line leaders. Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions.
- Labor Relations: Participate in the grievance process through observation of collaboration & grievance meetings. Assist with automation of grievance/discipline documentation.
- Project Management: Participate in other HR projects as needed. Past projects include creating an onboarding plan for front line leaders, developing a SharePoint site for HR content.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Behavior Science, Psychology, or Business Management
- 3.0 or higher GPA
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
