HVAC Engineer Job ID 185124 Posted 04-Dec-2024 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Building Management, Engineering/Maintenance, Facilities Management Location(s) Indianapolis - Indiana - United States of America About the Role: As a CBRE HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for sophisticated commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. What You'll Do: - Assign tasks to team members. Ensure all duties are done in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure accurate operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
- Solve equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish sophisticated assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Mentor others and share knowledge of own subject area and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Explain difficult or critical information.
What You'll Need: - High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
