We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented individual to continue to raise our high bar in EH&S standards. This position will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the environmental programs for a fast-paced, high volume fabrication and assembly environment. The position will also focus on assisting with general employee health and safety programs for the factory. Our Indianapolis facility is transforming into a furnace center of excellence with focus on innovation, customer experience and talent and we are looking for an individual who is ready to join, contribute and grow during this exciting time! This is a split shift position that covers a portion of first and second shift. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, interpret, recommend and comply with local, state and federal environmental regulations and company policy
- Complete environmental reporting with respect to company and regulatory requirements, tracking progress toward goals and driving continuous improvement actions
- Assist with maintaining of the environmental permits (air, waste, water)
- Update and maintain applicable written procedures, policies, and programs
- Coordinate and conduct EHS training as necessary
- Sustain and continuously improve the EH&S management system at the facility.
- Ensure compliance with safety related programs covered under OSHA 1910 regulations that include: HAZCOM, confined space, industrial hygiene, PPE, emergency action planning, among many others.
- Lead and participate on committees to meet environmental goals and improve processes
- Develop and deploy standard safe work practices and procedures as appropriate.
- Track EHS related internal audit corrective and preventive action plans to ensure timely completion
- Collect and analyze EHS data and report metrics and findings to the business
- Conduct EHS management system and/or compliance audits, as assigned
- Partner with operations, engineering and other functions to support plant programs and goals
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in environmental health and safety in a manufacturing environment
