Working together, let's put our time and talents together to advance human health for tomorrow.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The NPI Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting the supply chain activities for new product introductions for Beckman Coulter Life Science Products in multiple manufacturing locations.This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Global NPI Operations-Systems/Hardware and is part of the New Product Introduction Team located in Indianapolis, IN and will be an on-site role.In this role, you will you will have the opportunity to: - Collaborate with Procurement and Supplier Quality teams to select suppliers and complete part qualifications, including documentation of product qualification plans and reports.
- Partner with Operations to support process development and qualification, involving new product introduction workshops, creation of work instructions, and setup of parts markets in production.
- Work with Planning to manage part releases, coordinate with Development to release prints and bills of materials, and ensure timely availability of parts for production.
- Facilitate the seamless transition from development to production by coordinating efforts between Development and Operations for pilot and production builds.
- Maintain clear communication and thorough documentation throughout all stages to meet project requirements and adhere to timelines.The essential requirements for the job include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering.
- Experience in manufacturing and integrating instruments, including complex systems involving electro-mechanical, fluid handling, pneumatic, thermal, or optical components.
- Experience with multiple materials and fabrication processes. i.e., machining, metal casting, carbon fiber, fasteners, adhesives, gaskets, etc.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T, statistical software, and project management tools.
- Experience participating in design changes in regulated environments (FDA/ISO/Automotive) while meeting project deadlines.Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 50% to other manufacturing locations or suppliers.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
