Abbe Center for Community Mental Health is a subsidiary of AbbeHealth Services located in Manchester, Iowa.This position is designed to assist adults with serious mental illness to live in a supportive living environment in the Manchester community. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills to work in a progressive setting with an emphasis on responsibilities of day-to-day operations within a community-based setting, as well as program development and oversight. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or administrative staff.Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization's commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.Recognizes and teaches team members the early symptoms of physical and mental illness.Performs or coaches staff to perform appropriate interventions and/or referrals in accordance with an identified crisis plan. Provides leadership and clinical consultation to team members working directly with consumers.Demonstrates a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.Performs additional duties as may be assigned to ensure complete service to all customers.QualificationsPERSONAL SPECIFICATIONSEducationBachelor's degree in a human service related field with 1 year of related experience; Associates degree in a human service related field with 3 years of related experience; or High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience.Qualifications/ExperienceExperience working within Medicaid Waiver Programs preferred. Prior management/leadership experience preferred. Valid Iowa driver's license required. |
