  • ICU RN position at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital
  • 8 week contract
  • ASAP STARTS ONLY
  • Must have Cerner experience
  • Unit: ICU
  • # of beds: 13
  • Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, could take 3 if they have overflow
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: STEMI, CVA- TPA, Sepsis, Multiorgan failure, Covid, EKOS, arrest, overdose, COPD, CHF, Pneumonia, DKA, post vascular, IABP, Swanz, code freeze, Impella
  • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor available 24/7
  • RT in ICU 24/7
  • Must be able to read strips
    Job Requirements
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Prefer previous travel experience
    • Highly prefer 2 years of experience
    • Must be a team player
    • Must treat patients and core staff with respect
    • Experience with drips, vent management, hemodynamic monitoring
    • Must be able to titrate drips
    • Charge nurse may take patient assignment
      Schedule Information
      • 7-730 AM/PM shifts
      • Will consider block scheduling
      • Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd
      • Holiday Requirement: Rotate in with permanent staff
      • Typically no call or standby requirement unless low census
        Unit Specific Information
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: All critical care drips including pressors, paralytics, sedation, heparin, insulin, lasix, Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, precedex, Dopamine, Dobutamine
        • Floating Requirements: Medsurg, ortho, oncology, PCU to take a team. May float to Mother baby or ED for help hands.
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Pewter Gray scrubs (Reference Cherokee Brand Pewter Gray)
          Additional Details
          • Will accept LOCAL Placements
          • LOCAL adjusted bill rate: $85
          • LOCAL adjusted OT rate: $95
          • 2 days unit/department specific orientation
