This would include inpatient and call coverage at both Cedar Falls and Waterloo Medical Center no clinic responsibilities.Details: Reason for coverage: Vacation/time off coverage gapsMedical Staff Required: YesOutreach: NoTelehealth: NoNumber of Physicians: 4Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 4Supervision of APP expected: NoNo clinic work anticipatedMedical Imaging: YesLab amp Pharmacy: YesAverage Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-20 for both locationsDemographics/Patient Population: All agesEMR: Epic in the clinic setting. Cerner in the inpatient setting until May 31 2025 at which time the EMR will be Epic Enterprise.Procedures offered in the practice History and physical exam admit evaluate diagnose treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages to correct or treat various conditions illnesses and injuries of the extremities spine and associated structures by medical surgical and physical means.Such conditions include but are not limited to trauma infections tumors metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system deformities injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine hands feet knee hip shoulder and elbow and include primary and secondary muscular problems and the effects of central or peripheral nervous system lesions of the musculoskeletal system.Orthopedic surgeons may provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies.They may also assess stabilize and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services.
