May change to every other weekend rotation if needed for staffing/resident needs.Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residentsParticipate in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as requiredAssess for changes in residents' status, notifying the physician and resident's family or representative and documenting accordinglyPrepare and administer medications as per physicians' orders and observe for adverse effects as indicatedPerform wound treatments as per physician's orders, observe for changes and document according as indicatedProvide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activitiesWhat's required as an LPN:A nursing degree from an accredited college or universityCurrent unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in IowaCurrent CPR certificationPrior experience in long-term care preferred but not requiredJoin our team of compassionate healthcare professionals and make a difference in the lives of our patients every day.
