The Counselor also participates in crisis on-call coverage rotation. The Counselor assists the substance abuse counselor in providing substance abuse screens/referral on hospitalized patients when needed. Why UnityPoint Health?   • Complete thorough assessment of client's presenting needs and develop a plan of action.
  • Provide brief counseling and crisis call response according to EAP departmental guidelines.
  • Provide appropriate referral beyond EAP, as needed, that is based upon client's needs and available community resources.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call crisis coverage rotation when office is closed.
  • Ensure that client documentation is complete, thorough, and timely, according to EAP departmental guidelines.Qualifications
    • Master's degree in either Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy
    • Any of the following: LMHC, tLMHC, LISW, LMSW, LMFT
