<span>I have an opening for a SQL DBA with a mid-size, family-owned company in Des Moines. &nbsp;This is a new position, and provides the opportunity to work on a small, close-knit IT team! &nbsp;Please see details below.<br><B>&nbsp;</B><br><B>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:</B><br><ul>

<li>MS-SQL Administration: installation, configuration and upgrading MS-SQL server, SSRS, SSIS, Web services and related products. </li><li>Troubleshooting, monitoring, general maintenance and problem solving of MS-SQL server and databases.</li><li>Write, review and recommend optimization techniques for SQL queries and stored procedures.</li><li>Write complex MS-SQL scripts for database merge or fixes.</li><li>Write efficient procedures for search routines and complex business logic.</li><li>Develop Business Intelligence packages using SQL and SSIS by collecting requirements from the customer.</li><li>Develop SSRS Reports collecting requirements from customer.</li><li>Work closely with management and support to provide direction in identifying and resolving database related problems.</li><li>Design, development, optimize, performance tuning of databases.</li><li>Investigate, recommend and help implementing industry best practice ETL process for databases.</li><li>Write, review and recommend reports optimization to gain maximum performance.</li><li>Produce documentation for support to troubleshot MS-SQL issues.</li><li>Implement MS-SQL database security as per requirements for customer databases.</li><li>Help testing, troubleshooting the developed custom software for SQL related issues.</li><li>Drive to all R&amp;R properties and various locations as the position requires.</li></ul>

&nbsp;<br><B>Skills Needed:</B><br><ul>

<li>Practical experience in troubleshoot/repair corrupted MS-SQL databases</li><li>Practical experience in monitoring and tuning MS-SQL server/databases</li><li>Hands on experience in developing reports on SSRS</li><li>Proven track record of developing Business Intelligence using SSIS package or stored procedures</li><li>Hands on experience in developing reports on SSRS</li><li>Hands on experience with report optimization techniques on SQL server</li><li>Hands on experience in allocating hardware resources and configurations needed in MS-SQL installation</li><li>Hands on experience with MS-SQL commands, stored procedures and triggers</li><li>Experience in managing MS-SQL database security</li><li>Experience with overall system administration</li><li>Knowledge of implementing disaster recovery strategy; and Understanding of network security</li></ul>
