TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Dodge City, Kansas, 67801 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical / Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shift Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of one year experience preferred in nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty. License: State RN license or RN license from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Certifications: - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: - Ability to float to any designated location within a specified zone for critical needs - Proficiency in assessing patient needs and implementing care plans - Competency in various therapeutic/diagnostic interventions Job Description: - Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records and clinical data. - Evaluate patients' responses and intervene to ensure optimal outcomes. - Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and interdisciplinary collaboration. - Demonstrate competency in interventions including IV insertion, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections. - Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect health, safety, and patient rights. - Provide education to patients and families based on an assessment of learning readiness, needs, and abilities. - Deliver relationship-based care, respecting cultural differences and individual preferences. - Delegate tasks to non-RN personnel per nursing board guidelines and hospital policy. - Effectively manage time, personnel, equipment, and supplies for quality, cost-effective care. - Serve as a professional role model, demonstrating ethical, legal, and professional nursing practices. - Manage resources and patient flow, matching nursing competencies with patient and unit needs. - Precept and mentor new staff or nursing students as needed. - Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and research activities. - Use healthcare research findings to enhance clinical knowledge and performance. - Actively participate in hospital and unit-based meetings and improvement activities. 26035582EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
