Job Title: Skilled Nursing RN Staff Nurse Job Specialty: Nursing Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Not specified License: RN licensure for state of practice required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Job Description: - Provide care to assigned residents in a caring, safe, and efficient manner. - Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate a plan of care for residents in pertinent areas. - Administer medications and treatments to assigned residents. - Make changes to care plans as needed. - Safeguard residents' property and maintain their self-esteem, privacy, and confidentiality of personal information. - Provide residents with opportunities for independence and choice consistent with their care plans. - Maintain safe, pleasant, and orderly resident living areas. - Ensure physicians' orders are processed and notify physicians in a timely manner. - Observe residents; direct and document care. - Respond promptly to resident call lights. - Direct and assist with resident and family/significant other education. - Utilize electronic medical records accurately. - Use transfer equipment (e.g., gait belt, mechanical lifts) safely and effectively. - Comply with all related laws, regulations, and company policies pertaining to the position. - Operate and use objects, tools, or controls required for job tasks. - Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. - Work in an environment with moderate noise levels. - Lift up to 35 lbs as required. - Cover weekend rotations every 3rd weekend and holiday coverage as needed.
