Key Responsibilities

Review documentation for accuracy and adherence to regulations
Communicate with physician practices for necessary documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
Participate in ICD-10 readiness initiatives


Required Qualifications and Education

High school diploma or GED
Three to five years of multi-specialty coding experience
Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) such as CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or COC
Maintains coding credentials through continuing education activities
