JOB OVERVIEW:The Cuban/Haitian Entrant (CHE) Caseworker provides trauma-informed services to qualified Cuban/Haitian Entrants to support a positive client experience that assists clients to achieve stability and move toward healthy community integration. The CHE Caseworker works closely with clients, colleagues, and external parties to develop service and/or self-sufficiency plans to meet individual client needs and preferences utilizing a broad range of financial, medical, social, vocational, and other services and resources in accordance with client eligibility and program requirements. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct initial needs assessments and build individualized service plans for all members of the household.
- Assess and monitor client progress to support achievement of established goals, address challenges, and ensure that available resources are appropriately used.
- Ensure program requirements are met, including completion of all required documentation and case note, case file maintenance, and timely delivery of required services.
- Collaborate with other IRC departments to ensure that all applicable services are delivered to clients.
- Collaborate external service providers to develop and manage relationships for the benefit of clients.Develop local resources for clients and share contact information across programs.
- Participate in regular training and communities of practice to remain up to date on program and policy developments relevant to delivery of client services and program compliance.
- Use personal, insured vehicle and/or public transportation (where available) to travel and transport clients and materials as needed throughout the service delivery area.
- May train and lead activities for volunteers and/or interns.

- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, preferred.
- Fluency in both English with strong verbal and written communication skills, required.
- Native in Spanish, French, or Haitian Creole, required.
- Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
