Major Duties Classification: Exempt, Non-Bargaining This position may be located in Manchester NH; Portland ME. This IS NOT a remote position. The Senior Human Resources Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to business entity leaders, employees and team members. This role requires an experienced HR professional who possesses strong technical HR consulting skills and is adept at collaborating with leadership to drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness. This position requires a demonstrated competence in multiple HR functional areas including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, and legal compliance. Responsibilities Educate, coach and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals.Collects and analyzes HR data; makes recommendations to management.Maintains in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws & regulations related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.Lead employee relations investigations and manage documentation while maintaining confidentiality.Develop company policies, procedures, employee programs. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to staff.Serves as a mediator and advocate for employees, providing support and guidance on workplace issues and fostering a positive and inclusive work environmentDevelop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.Act as project manager for HR initiatives and special projects (e.g., employee survey action planning, performance management, compliance training, and organization design).Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the HR function, and implement solutions to enhance overall effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience. SHRM, PHR, or SPHR preferred.5 - 8 years' experience in Human Resources with a focus on performance management and employee relations.Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointAbility to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations and policies.Strong knowledge of Federal and State employment and leave laws (FMLA, PDL, CFRA, ADA).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.Experience working with multi-site locations preferred (as this role supports leaders and employees in various states).
