Introduction This position supports collection efforts of the Central Collection Unit (CCU) by developing methods to increase the accuracy and efficiency of database software applications to maximize collections. This is a special appointment position that serves at the pleasure of the appointing authority. A hybrid work schedule is available. GRADE 18 LOCATION OF POSITION 300 W. Preston Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 POSITION DUTIES This position supports the collection efforts of the Central Collection Unit (CCU) by developing methods to increase the accuracy and efficiency of database software applications to maximize collections. The duties include: Executing and monitoring Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) programs as scheduled. Executing and monitoring SQL scripts as needed. Monitoring SSIS automation jobs. Providing ongoing user support for CCU staff and clients through service tickets. Adding, updating and closing system defects and change requests. Creating and maintaining system documentation. Performing system migration requests. Assisting in the design, development, training, and testing of application systems corrections or enhancements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, human resource management, information technology or other related fields with specific coursework in the structure and use of automated information systems. Experience: Six months of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation, and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe or large client server platforms. Notes: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and two years of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation, and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe or large client server platforms may be substituted for the required education. Experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, database or other applications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for a high school education. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
