THERAPIST (HYBRID) - Baltimore Maryland

The Therapist is responsible for supporting clients to establish better cognitive, emotional, and social skills; develop coping strategies for dealing with symptoms of mental health; and deal with life challenges in order to reach the client's goals. This individual works with the client to develop and implement treatment plans that outline the client's short-term and long-term goals, and utilizes various therapeutic interventions that address the client's individual needs and circumstances. The Therapist monitors and documents progress toward these goals, and assists in urgent mental health matters that may arise by collaborating with other members of a client's treatment team and referring the client to other available resources or types of care. These services will be rendered within the guidelines of the Company's clinical standards and regulating bodies. Required: Must reside in the state of Maryland and be able to work onsite up to one day per week in our Baltimore, Lanham, Cumberland, or Waldorf office. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct individual, family, and group counseling for clients.
- This role will be hybrid in office 1 day per week.
- Diagnose clients based on individual history, symptoms, and behaviors utilizing ICD codes.
- Identify needs and preferences of clients for treatment, and make recommendations for level of care, treatment goals, and needed services.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation, such as:
- Intakes/Assessment upon admission.
- Treatment Plan (initial and ongoing), in accordance with COMAR regulations.
- Group and one-on-one notes completed within 24-48 hours.
- Referrals for various additional services.
- Discharge Summaries as needed.
- Communicate regularly and consistently with staff members and its affiliate organizations in regards to scheduling, documentation, and client care.
- Maintain scheduled client appointments based on agreed-upon schedule.
- Assist with mental health emergencies as needed.
- Be a positive representative of the organization by upholding standard messaging and its brand to clients, internal and external providers, referring partners, community affiliates, and any other external third party.
- Attend scheduled meetings and trainings on-time as assigned; or make efforts to communicate any tardiness or absenteeism. Such meetings include (but are not limited to):
- Company-wide staff meetings
- Assigned trainings or forums
- Clinical Supervisions
- Check-ins with supervisors and management
- Appointments with clients, providers, or external partners QUALIFICATIONS:
