Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) located in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Test IPT Lead who is responsible for leading cross-functional teams during the proposal phase, design and manufacture phase of complex HW/SW Test products; participating in negotiations; responsible for establishing and executing project Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and funding authorizations; initiating the launch of new designs and subsequent shop orders; and managing all cost/ schedule and performance related activities. What you'll get to do: - Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases
- Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts
- Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership
- Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts
- Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing
- Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements
- Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree with 2 years of experience or a Masters degree with 0 years of experience in a related technical field. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- Demonstrated leadership responsibilities in a team environment
- Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing and Test Integration process
- Basic understanding of SAP Production/Materials management tools or similar tool set
- Ability to work on-site at BWI campus and areas nearby.
