The Cyber Security Cloud SME will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to protect the organization's information assets. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.Key Responsibilities: Ensures proper and timely completion of all aspects of projects including: (a) working with staff to identify objectives and specifications; (b)evaluating hardware and software options; (c) planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and documenting systems; and (d) evaluating performance of the system after implementation Develops detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the security services long range implementation and administration of monitoring, incident response and scanning services which includes vulnerability scanning, SEIM management, hardware, and software configuration compliance. Provides continuous monitoring of all assets, and validation of security controls across the IT enterprise. Cyber security incident response, risks/vulnerability assessment and scanning of all assets to ensure compliance with organizations policies, ATO requirements, and the sustainment of data integrity, availability, and confidentiality. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the protection of information assets. Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security weaknesses. Monitor and analyze security events and alerts from various sources, including SIEM systems, to detect and respond to potential threats. Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate security measures into system design, development, and operations. Provide technical expertise and support for security incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation activities. Develop and maintain documentation for security solutions, processes, and procedures. Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to security standards and regulations. Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to promote a culture of security. Provides advice and recommends changes to the policies and strategic plans that integrate Zero trust implementation into infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the organization's security posture.Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field + 16 years of work experience.
- 7 years of experience in information security engineering or a related field.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
