You will operate as a trusted advisor for our key technologies, platforms and capability domains, creating clear and concise communications, code samples, blog posts and other material to share knowledge both inside and outside the organization. You will specialize in a particular subject area, but your input and impact will be sought and expected throughout the organization.If you're interested in ML and big data, we've got it - in the Fraud Tech space, we integrate with all of the most significant systems in Card. Whether we're scanning 10 new credit applications per second, 100 payment requests per second, or even 250 card authorizations per second, we're constantly on the lookout for fraudsters. We use ML, bot detection, voice printing, and rule-based systems, among other things to spot the latest trends and issues. -We coordinate complicated business processes across a huge (and growing!) fleet of microservices to do everything from sending real time alerts to deleting credit cards to releasing restricted accounts. We support Capital One customers at some of their most confusing times - trying to make the complex process of reviewing and reporting potential fraud issues and resolving disputes as simple as possible. We also support the workflow of the agents who investigate and resolve those issues. -We are looking for a Distinguished Engineer to lead our modernization journey of Fraud disputes and claims processing. - At least 7 - years of experience in - software engineering
- At least 5 years of experience working with at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, or Node.js
- At least 3 years of experience in public cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)Preferred Qualifications:
