Powered by thousands of scientists and technicians and the latest technology platforms at more than 40 global sites, Catalent supplies billions of doses of life-enhancing and life-saving treatments for patients annually.The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of local and global policies-- and-- programs-- for-- staffing,-- employee-- relations,-- compensation-- and-- benefits,-- employee development-- and-- training,-- organizational-- development,-- regulatory-- compliance-- to-- meet-- the-- business strategies-- and-- customer-- requirements-- of-- the Harmans,-- Maryland facility-- within-- the-- framework-- of Catalent's overall corporate philosophy and policies, external laws and regulations.Work Schedule: Shifts of 8 or 12 hours in duration. Flexibility will be necessary on occasion as the site is as 24/7 operation.Catalent is committed to a Patient First culture through excellence in quality and compliance, and to the safety of every patient, consumer and Catalent employee.The Role - Ensuring compliance of company policies, procedures, plans and programs dealing with the specific activities of staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and training, organizational development, HR information systems to meet the site's business plan and competitive strategy in a cost-effective manner
- Partners with functional leaders in the organization's strategic planning efforts, providing insight on vital HR concerns and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
- Provides counsel to Leaders and Employees on Human Resources issues, organizational structure and development; Develops and Facilitates training and development for employees and leaders to meet regulatory compliance, while focusing on building the critical skills and competencies required to handle present and future business needs
- Establishes and maintains an effective and credible relationship with both Leaders and Employees; works closely with line management to provide support, planning and problem solving
- Works in partnership with our Talent Partners (TA) and Functional Leaders on recruitment, selection and placement of talent to ensure we are hiring the critical technical, management skills and experience required for business continuity, and leadership bench strength development; Participates and supports the site Talent Management Program, by facilitating leader training, identifying gaps in succession - and working actively to bridge the gaps with functional leaders
- Ensures compliance with the performance management process to ensure equity on behalf of leadership in the process, while tracking the required improvement in performance by the employee for improved productivity
- Serves as a cultural change agent for the MD Sites, to improve organizational effectiveness; ensures that organizational strategies, structure and processes are consistent with evolving business needs
- Assures compliance with laws and regulations related to employees and their relationship with their employer. Completes appropriate agency (EEOC, DOL, WCI, AAP) audits
- Other duties as assignedThe Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Human Resources, Business Management, Life Sciences or equivalent) is required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification a plus
- Minimum 7 years broad and progressive experience in human resources required
- Experience in supervisory or management role
- Exposure to the pharmaceutical, healthcare or related technical industries preferred
- Experience supporting a manufacturing environment (24x7 scheduling variations) is preferred
- Individual may be required sit for extended periods. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.Pay The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $118,720 - $163,240 plus bonus, when eligible.-- The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states."Why You Should Join Catalent
